Cassidy McFadzean was born in Regina SK and currently lives in Iowa City where she is completing an MFA at the Iowa Writers' Workshop. Her poems have appeared in CV2, Arc, Vallum, The Fiddlehead, the Malahat Review, and in a chapbook, Farwell, (JackPine Press, 2012). Cassidy was a finalist for the 2013 CBC Poetry Prize and the 2013 Walrus Poetry Prize, and second place winner in Grain's 2014 Short Grain Contest. Her first full-length collection, Hacker Packer, was published in 2015 by McClelland & Stewart.
